Privacy policy
Glyph stores your pet's medication schedule so it can remind you. Label text is sent to our server and to an AI provider to be read. Only people you invite can see a pet's schedule. You can delete everything from inside the app.
What we collect
- Account. If you sign in with Apple, we receive an identifier and, if you allow it, your name and email. Guest accounts have no name or email.
- Pets. Name, species, breed, age, and a colour you pick.
- Medications and supplements. What you confirm from a scanned label: product name, strength, dose, schedule, duration, refills, prescriber and clinic if printed, the original label text, and which fields the scan was unsure about.
- Dose history. When a dose was marked given, missed, or undone, and by which household member.
- Households. Who you invited, the display name they entered, and their role.
- Device data. Reminder permission status. Reminders are scheduled on your phone; we do not run a push server.
We do not collect your location, contacts, or advertising identifiers. The camera is used only while you are scanning; photos are not uploaded. Only the text read from the label is sent.
Where it goes
- Our server (AWS, United States). Label text passes through our server to be turned into structured fields. The server keeps request counts for rate limiting and does not log label text.
- AI provider (Anthropic). Label text is sent to Anthropic's API to be read. It is not used to train their models under the terms we operate on. Anthropic's handling is described in their own privacy policy.
- Database (Supabase, United States). Your pets, medications, dose history, and household membership are stored here, protected so that only members of a pet's household can read them.
- Apple. Sign in with Apple is handled by Apple; we never see your Apple password.
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with advertisers.
Sharing inside a household
When you invite someone with a code, they can see the names, doses, schedules, prescriber and clinic for the pets you share, and they can mark doses as given. You can remove them at any time; they lose access immediately. Caregivers cannot add or change prescriptions.
Deleting your data
Profile → Delete account removes your account, your pets, every medication and dose record, and your household invitations. If you are the only owner of a household, the household is removed with you. If you are a caregiver in someone else's household, only your membership is removed. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
Children
Glyph is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the app will tell you the next time you open it, and the date at the top of this page will change.
